Day-wise Itinerary
Day 1 – Guwahati Arrival & Transfer to Shillong
Arrive at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station and meet your Franklin Destinations representative. Begin your journey towards Shillong, the capital city of Meghalaya.
En route, stop at Umiam Lake, also known as Barapani, and enjoy the peaceful surroundings and panoramic views of the lake and surrounding hills. Continue your drive to Shillong, check in to your hotel and spend the evening at leisure.

Day 2 – Shillong Local Sightseeing
After breakfast, proceed for a full-day Shillong sightseeing experience, covering the city’s well-known attractions depending on the operational itinerary and local conditions.

Enjoy time around the river and, subject to availability and local operating conditions, you may opt for a boat ride or other permitted river activities at additional cost. Continue towards Shillong after the day’s sightseeing.

Day 5 – Mawlynnong Village Excursion

Best Time to Visit Meghalaya
Meghalaya can be visited throughout the year, with different seasons offering different travel experiences.
For sightseeing and outdoor exploration, the drier winter months of November to February usually offer more comfortable conditions in Cherrapunji for its waterfalls, caves and viewpoints. Mawlynnong is pleasant over a broader period, from March to June and again from June to November.
Travel during the monsoon can bring heavy rainfall and changing road or activity conditions, so the final itinerary may be adjusted according to local conditions.
